Courtesy of Paul Poore: Relay For Life of Pickens County along with Deep Southern Championship Wrestling (DSCW) are joining together to tag team Cancer and to Fight Back.
This year about 564,800 Americans are expected to die of cancer; more than 1,500 people a day. Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the US, exceeded only by heart disease. One of every four deaths in the US is from cancer. Since 1990, there have been approximately 5 million cancer deaths.
Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.
Deep Southern Championship Wrestling has generously agreed to donate a percentage of door receipts for an upcoming Relay For Life of Pickens County fundraising event that will be held with the help of Teams Cornerstone Cabinet Creations and Tate Fire Department.
