Just a few weeks ago, the Metro Atlanta and North Georgia areas got hit with snow and ice…now my family and friends from up North would say – Do What? because they can get up to 2 and 3 feet of snow…but this is normal for them and they are prepared with trucks to remove the snow and salt for the roads, plus, they know how to drive in the snow and they don’t ‘freak out’! But here in the South, we’re not prepared for snow and ice, we don’t know how to drive in the snow and ice and we ‘freak out’! People here have no idea how to drive safely in snow and ice, it’s like they think they can still drive 70 and 80 MPH on I-285!!!
Anyway, we are supposed to have another round of snow and ice this week and I’m just wondering how we’re going to handle it this time? Maybe the schools will close so the school kids won’t have to sleep on the buses or at school because the buses couldn’t get the kids home and the parents couldn’t get to school to pick them up…what a mess we had.
That’s why I’m glad that #1 My son is no longer in school and #2 I work from home so I don’t have to get out in the mess.
I’m wishing all my Southern Family and Friends a safe week and if the weather gets back like they’re predicting, that you’re able to stay home or if you can’t stay home, please be safe out there and when driving, Slow Down!!!
They are predicting this snow and ice at the beginning of the week and by the weekend, we could be back in the 60 degree temps!!!
