PWPC Creed ~ “Striving to better our community, each other, and ourselves through Involvement, Commitment and Encouragement”
Today I attended the Professional Women of Pickens County’s monthly luncheon and wow, was I impressed. The room at the Sharptop Arts Association was full! Thank goodness Beth Coberly saved me a seat. There were professional ladies networking and sharing information up until they said to ‘come and get it’ and lunch was served.
Lunch was provided by Johnny’s Pizza, and there was plenty. The garlic knots are always my favorite at Johnny’s Pizza and the salad and the specialty pizza just completed the lunch 🙂
After we ate our lunch, the meeting started and because I was new, I was one of the 4 who was introduced and got to stand up and say a little about us and what we did. Of course, our company is not local 🙁 so sorry but I was able to mention my Jasper Pickens County GA website, my Facebook page and my many photos of the North Georgia sunsets…I was thrilled when someone said ‘so that’s you?’ it made me happy.
Linda Barnes with Namedroppers LLC was the presenter and she spoke on Promotional Tips for Small Businesses and tips on how to market and promote your company on a budget. Many people need to know this because when you are not budget conscious when planning your marketing budget, you could end up spending all of your annual budget on one or two marketing promotions. So her tips and smart ideas could help someone go a long way on staying with their marketing budget. To get more information on what Linda proposes can help you with your marketing, contact her at www.namedroppers.com or give her a call at 678-591-7712 she can help you out with most anything you need in marketing, promotions and just about anything else.
What I really liked about this luncheon today, and I plan to attend more ,was how the ladies networked and discussed what was going on and they explained how what they are doing could help the next person. You know, kind of like that Team effort (huh Linda) and people need to network with others because that’s one of the ways you help promote yourself while helping others…Zig Ziglar said it best “You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.”
So help your fellow sister in the Professional Women of Pickens County out by being there, referring, shopping at their businesses or using their services and just helping out any way you can. It’s a great organization and it’s only going to get better.
Thank you Sharptop Arts Association for sharing your beautiful place to have the luncheon ~ more people need to learn of what you have there so they can share in the beauty of art which happens in so many ways; paintings, photographs, clay designs, the beauty is shown in so many ways. Be sure to check out the Georgia Clay Council Exhibit starting next Friday, September 12 from 5:00-7:00pm. This is an exhibit that always draws a crowd…Don’t miss it! All art lovers invited!
