Mark Your Calendar for Saturday, September 7 here in Pickens County to participate in the 5K Breast Cancer Run
Please know that this race is a fundraiser and proceeds go to benefit the Susan G Koman and the Rack Dynasty Team to do the Susan G Komen Race For A Cure in October. One of the 6 team members is a breast cancer survivor and this year she is well enough to complete the 3-Day 60 miles Race For A Cure.
Everyone is invited so please, invite all of your friends. Most awesome looking shirts! Of course shirts guaranteed to all pre-registered runners that sign up by Sunday, September 1 (this has been extended). Phantom runners are welcome but shirts will have to be picked up morning of the event.
Registration for the Save A Rack 5K Breast Cancer Run will begin at 7:15 and race begins at 8:15. Note: The community center will not open until 8am, so there will be no restrooms available until then. We will start the race as soon as we can get everyone out of the restroom…
Water and snacks available upon completion of the race. Awards given for all age groups.
With this race, there will be an Athena and Clydesdale division. What this means is men over 200 lbs and women over 175 lbs will have the opportunity to compete against like sized people. Please write this division on your registration form. Clydesdale is the men and Athena is the women. What A PERFECT 5K for the first timer! Between the Clydesdale and Athena division and the backwards award…………anybody can take home a medal.
What is this race that has something called a ‘backwards’ award. You’ll just have show up to find out what that is!!!!!
Cost for this race is $25 for all pre-registered people. Phantom runners are $20. Race day registration is $30. If you bring a team of 5 or more, each person is $20.
DONT DELAY! Most awesome shirts. NOTE: Deadline has been extended to get a t-shirt until Sunday night! If you haven’t registered, you may do so by clicking online or let me know and I will email you a registration form!
