Today we woke up to pretty strong winds and SNOW! It is March 8th, the March flowers have already started popping up. What’s up with SNOW! But its here and it did make the outside look pretty, even though it hasn’t gotten above 30 degrees. Here is a video off our deck looking at Sharp Top Mountain and toward Jasper and Ellijay –
The guys came to visit us in Jasper and it was a very nice weather day but the next day, their 2nd day in ‘Comptonville’, we had ice, snow and below freezing temperatures. They left 80 degree weather in Australia…and they say, kiddingly say that they came to visit the ‘Guru’ at the Top of the Mountain but it is “Bloody Cold” at the top of the mountain. What a wonderful place to live – Jasper, Georgia. Today the weather was in the high 50’s and we were able to go to work and to school with only a light jacket. That’s not saying it still will not get COLD before spring really gets here but for now, it was a beautiful, sunny, blue sky day! Oh how I love the South! Having grown up in the Mid West, North Georgia, especially Jasper!
We had two wonderful friends visit us in Jasper this week. Howard Tinker and James McCarron arrived at the Atlanta airport on Tuesday morning about 4am after a long delay at the Chicago airport. They were picked up by Cynthia at North Georgia Limo and brought to our home in Bent Tree. Howard told us he was able to catch ‘power naps’ along the way but James was unable to sleep and by the time they arrived at our home, James had been on the go for 42 hours. He was ready for a good sleep. Ken, Howard and James had their bi-monthly mastermind call at 4:30pm with the others in their group. That call lasted about an hour and a half. And at 6pm, Howard, James and Ken had a conference call with about 30 prospects and members of Howard and James’ restaurant coaching group. That call went on for about 2 hours and a lot of good questions and answers were asked and given. The call was to talk with and ask questions of Ken Compton and boy did he answer some pretty good questions. And the advise and suggestions were worth a small gold nugget. That night we had dinner about 10pm (which would be about noon the next day in Australia). Good thing it was a chef salad…check back as we go through the next couple of days entertaining the Aussies!
