They Predicted It and It Happened! The first snowfall all winter and the First For 2017! Friday, January 6, 2017!
And what a beauty it is. One of the great things about living in the North Georgia Mountains is having the seasons and the average winter temperatures of around 55 degrees. So when we do get a snowfall, we enjoy it for a day or two and then the weather warms right back up.
I was in Jasper on Friday and didn’t realize they were letting the kids out of school early and I got in the traffic. I was glad they did let them out as about an hour later, the sleet and ice started falling.
The temperatures dipped into the mid teens to low 20’s and are going right back up to the mid 60’s by next week. We had snow and ice but will be back to normal next week.
Enjoy the snow and beauty while it’s here as it usually doesn’t last long!
