Walking around Bent Tree today and noticed these small beauties. Small things we can miss when we hurry… Rick Patterson

Since we’re on the discussion of Spring, I want to talk about these beautiful Cherry trees which are/were a focal point in Bent Tree on my way home. Oh how I’ve enjoyed watching them bloom every Spring BUT they are no longer there…they have been cut down and I haven’t learned why.
So very sad. 🙁
After a long, but fairly mild winter in North Georgia, we are finally seeing the signs of Spring. And we Love it!
Here is a great photo from one of our Facebook Follower’s Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/ellijayga/ be sure to check out their page and Follow to see more of their beautiful area of North Georgia.

I’m going to start sharing my favorite photos of 2017 and I hope you’ll enjoy the stories that go with them.
Please do comment and let me know your thoughts of these photos and how they make you feel. Enjoy!
My first photo that I’m sharing was taken by my sister, Sheila Grubbs from Orleans, Indiana. She shared this photo on Facebook and I thought it reminded me of Days Gone By.
It’s such a beautiful, peaceful and sort of sad picture that may have once been a magestic home that could have held a family of laughing children but now, just sitting there, longing for the good ole’ days…
I’ll see an old farm like this in the country and wonder what the walls would say if they could talk? They sit there for years just weathering away. -Sheila Grubbs
