Georgia Marble Festival
Come Celebrate: With a hint of fall in the air and bursts of color sitting atop trees, you know it’s time for the Georgia Marble Festival.
Held during October’s first full weekend, the city of Jasper and the Marble Valley of Pickens County celebrate the history of Georgia Marble, Mountains, Arts & Antiques on October 7-8, 2017.
A full weekend of activities begins with the Marble Festival 5K Run/Walk Road Race Saturday morning. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. followed by the 1 mile Run/Walk at 9 a.m.
To register, visit jasperumc.org. Then, catch the festival parade down Main Street at 10 a.m. Participate in the guided marble quarry tours of the marble industry and structures.
Also, enjoy arts, crafts, demonstrations and our FREE children’s activities area throughout the festival grounds. There will be various sculptors: Granite, Marble, Chainsaw & more. Enjoy lots of great food while appreciating a vast array of weekend-long entertainment.
Add a little soundtrack to your weekend by witnessing the best in Georgia music at our Headliner stage. The Georgia Marble Festival has something for everyone. Thousands of people experience the rich heritage of the area each year, learning about the marble industry as well as visiting the many treasures of Pickens County. The festival is located at Lee Newton Park, 500 Stegall Drive in Jasper. Free parking and convenient shuttles are available at Ingles and Chattahoochee Technical College. Festival hours are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday. Adult admission is $5; children 6-12 $3; and children 5 and under free.
