I have created a 2012 calendar as a fundraiser and would love for you to help me and the farm by purchasing one.
The photos are all mine and frameable. I am financing the printing and publishing myself.
The proceeds will go towards Farm infrastructure. The calendar is $20.
Please contact me if you would like to purchase one. We would appreciate it very much.

COMING NOVEMBER 5, 2011!! THE PICKENS ANIMAL RESCUE FUR BALL
BY: B Joan Wilson-Barnes
Mark your calendar for an evening of feel good fundraising benefitting Pickens Animal Rescue (PAR). The fifth annual Pickens Fur Ball will be at the Chattahoochee Technical College on Burnt Mountain Road on November 5, 2011 from 6:30 to 10:30 PM.
Come enjoy the exquisite cuisine of Coast2Coast Catering (owned by the founders of Madeline’s Restaurant). The menu includes Gerard Salad, Fig and Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast, Four Cheese Tortellini in Pumpkin Sauce, Trilogy of Vegetable Bundles, Artisnal Breads with complimentary beverages and a phenomenal cake sculpture from Dough Boys Cakes for dessert.
You can also get an early start on your Holiday shopping by bidding on over 75 donated items, or bid on a week at a vacation getaway at the Silent Auction. Take a chance on winning a jackpot in the Heads and Tails Bead Game and get your portrait taken by professional photographer, Alvin Stewart. Dress up or come business casual and join your animal loving friends and neighbors in learning about the amazing rescue work PAR staff and volunteers do every day for needy Pickens homeless pets. See pictures of happy pets and their new owners as they begin their new lives together as well as pets still waiting for that special someone to take them to their forever homes. Then, finish off the night with dancing and be entertained by DJ Jesse Giles.
100% of your ticket purchase and silent auction bids supports the work at PAR. PAR provides both a spay/neutering assistance program for families with financial needs and complete pet care that includes vaccinations, worming, flea/tick treatment, AVID microchips, and spay/neutering for all the dogs and cats that stay at the PAR Ranch waiting for foster or forever homes. Equally important is the joy and enrichment PAR is able to give to families, seniors, people living alone, disabled individuals and children by matching them with a new four legged family member that will give them laughter, love, and companionship.
HURRY TO GET YOUR $65 TICKETS. TICKET SALES END ON NOVEMBER 2, 2011. You may purchase tickets on-line at www.pickensfurball.org, at the PAR Thrift Store, PAWS on Main (both at 371 N Main), Jasper Dental Associates. Junktiques, Foothills Dental Associates, Burnt Mtn. Trading Co. and both Community Bank of Pickens locations.
A special thanks goes out to our 2011 Sponsors; Todd W. Hall Company, PC Co-Pilots, ViSalus-Ginger Hall, KDA Communications, Jasper Dental Associates, Nature’s Farmacy, Lakota Cove, Foothills Dental Associates, Kiker Wealth Management, Gary and Camille Hammond, Guerry and Carol Massey, Smoke Signals On-Line, ETC, KnowPickens.com, Custom Home Structures, Critter Sitters Inc., Pit-Stop Portables, Junktiques, Suzanne Bryant, Venue2Remember, Maria and Dan Ashby, Trout’s Beverage, Dough Boys Cakes and Catering, Appalachian Country Magazine, JasperPickensCountyGA.com and the Pickens Progress. Also to all of our volunteers who help make this event happen.
You may also help support this valuable work by making donations to and shopping at the PAR Rescue Thrift Store at 371 N. Main, supporting PAWS on Main after hour Veterinarian Clinic, making cash donations to PAR at either of these locations, or volunteering at one of the PAR events. Volunteers are also needed for Adoption Days at Petsmart in Woodstock, at the PAR Rescue Store, and at the PAR Ranch. And, of course, providing a foster home for some of the animals helps a great deal and is a very rewarding experience. For details on PAR events and becoming a PAR volunteer, go to: www.pickensanimalrescure.org. Also look at the Pets Available for Adoption section. You may find a new forever friend.
