Saturday, August 24, was the 1st Annual ‘Ride for the Cure’ event benefiting the Relay For Life of Pickens County
Per Paul Douglas…Relay for Life of Pickens County at our 1st Annual ‘Ride for the Cure’ event that started and ended at Rocco’s Pub. Tons of fun and lots of prizes, food and great music. We raised at least $900 from the event. $500 from the riders, $295 from the silent auction of the Ruger Rifle and tons of shirts, raffles and 2 – 50/50 drawings. I paid a $25 entry fee to represent Team Tate Fire and be the chase vehicle during the 75 mile Bike Ride through the North Georgia Mountains. SPECIAL THANKS to James for putting the ride together and to PICKENS & DAWSON County Police Departments for escorting our Riders through a few intersections.
Relay for Life ‘Ride for the Cure’ in Pickens County started at 9am with riders leaving Rocco’s Pub for a 75 mile ride through North Georgia Mountains. Motorcycles, Trikes, Cars, Vans, Trucks were all welcome and they all showed their ‘Relay For Life’ Support. It was Awesome.
There are many photos on Facebook of the ride and the event at Rocco’s. Thanks to Paul Douglas, many of these pictures are his and Michael Piantedosi so I’m going to post just a few here on the Jasper site!
